Mind-body Health

Mind-body conditions can present in many forms. They may arise during major life transitions, grief, anxiety, or depression—or in the aftermath of trauma and the physical patterns it leaves behind. For some, the experience feels primarily emotional. For others, it shows up in the body: jaw tension, digestive disruption, fatigue, or pain that resists conventional care.

While these concerns often overlap with chronic illness or musculoskeletal issues, they require a distinct approach. My work focuses on the intersection of physiology, perception, and emotional experience—examining how patterns become embodied and how they can gradually reorganize.

This is not psychotherapy, and I do not function as a mental health provider. Instead, I work with the physical expression of psycho-emotional patterns. That may include exploring history, stress adaptation, and the ways the body carries unresolved experience. When appropriate, I collaborate with therapists or counselors as complementary support.

If you recognize that stress and emotional experience shape the body—but haven’t found care that fully bridges those worlds—this work is designed to meet that intersection directly.

Concerns commonly addressed include:

  • Anxiety, overwhelm, or persistent stress

  • Depression, grief, or emotional flatness

  • Post-traumatic stress and its physical manifestations

  • Difficulty regulating emotions or energy

  • Chronic tension (jaw, neck, abdomen, pelvic floor)

  • Somatic symptoms without clear medical findings

  • Physical symptoms that worsen under stress

  • Sleep disturbance or nervous system dysregulation

  • Feeling disconnected from the body

  • Digestive issues influenced by emotional state

You may have already tried

  • Medication management or psychotherapy

  • Mindfulness practices, yoga, or breathwork

  • Coaching, support groups, or self-help work

  • Emotional processing or somatic techniques

Many people recognize that emotional experience affects the body—but insight alone does not reorganize patterns. This work offers practical, embodied ways to engage those patterns directly. It often complements mental health care by providing a physical entry point into experiences that are difficult to shift through conversation alone.

Services I recommend

General Note:  Mind-body concerns often respond best to steady, consistent support. Many people benefit from weekly guidance as patterns begin to shift and integrate.

Classes provide a structured way to move and regulate through the body—building strength and awareness in a supportive environment. For acute or complex concerns, one-on-one care may be the appropriate starting point.
