Integrative Care

Personalized Integrative care for chronic illness, pain, injury, and nervous system health — Houston, TX

Integrative Care is the core of my one-on-one work—offering individualized support for chronic health concerns, persistent pain or injury, mind-body patterns, and movement-related challenges. Each session is shaped around your history, your goals, and the way your body responds over time.

We begin with a thorough consultation that looks beyond symptoms alone. Depending on your concerns, this may include medical and lifestyle history, naturopathic assessment, orthopedic or movement evaluation, and an exploration of stress patterns and nervous system dynamics.
The goal is to understand not only what is happening, but why—and how your system has adapted.

Ongoing sessions are collaborative and responsive. Tools may include acupuncture, manual therapy, movement training, breathwork, herbal or nutritional support, and somatic awareness practices.

Some sessions are more hands-on and clinically focused; others prioritize restoring mobility, addressing subtle holding patterns, or deepening body awareness. The approach evolves as your needs evolve.

Whether you’re navigating chronic illness, injury recovery, nervous system overwhelm, or limitations in strength or mobility, this process offers a grounded, thoughtful way forward—one that respects both the complexity of your condition and the intelligence of your body.

How we work

  • For deeper or complex concerns, weekly sessions over 3–6 months tend to be most effective.

  • For acute or focused goals, a 6–8 week container can offer clarity and momentum.

  • Longer-term support is available through monthly or bimonthly sessions, often paired with independent practice.

Whether you’re seeking relief, insight, or meaningful change, one-on-one work offers a steady, thoughtful space to move forward.

FAQs

  • No. Some people come in with clear diagnoses; others arrive with vague symptoms, recurring pain, movement limitations, or a general sense that something isn’t working. The assessment adapts to your needs.

  • The initial consultation is typically 90 minutes. It's comprehensive — we review your health history, discuss your goals, and begin to map out a picture of what's happening and why. You'll leave with a clear sense of the approach and a proposed direction.

  • Primarily yes. The nature of this work often requires in-person sessions — hands-on treatment, movement assessment, and physical observation are central to many cases. That said, remote sessions are available when the work can be effectively accomplished without in-person contact, and are assessed on a case by case basis. The Center for Embodiment is located in Houston, TX.

  • No. This work is integrative and can complement the care you receive from other providers, but it does not replace medical, psychiatric, or emergency care when those are needed.

  • When appropriate, yes. If you're working with a physician, physical therapist, or mental health provider, coordination and communication can be part of the process. Bringing your full picture into the room — including what other providers have observed — is always helpful.

  • It depends on why you’re here. For chronic concerns, we may review medical history and lifestyle patterns. For injuries or performance goals, we assess strength, mobility, and biomechanics. For stress-related issues, we explore nervous system patterns and how your body responds to load. The goal is to understand the full picture.

  • Frequency depends on your goals and the complexity of your case. Weekly or biweekly sessions are common initially; as things stabilize, sessions may space out.

  • Responses vary. Some people feel immediate relief or shift; others notice more subtle changes over the following days. Occasionally things feel slightly stirred up before settling — this is normal and part of the process. We check in about your response at each subsequent session and adjust accordingly.

  • Sessions may include acupuncture, movement therapy, manual techniques, breathwork, herbal or nutritional support, and awareness-based practices. The mix changes based on your progress and what your body responds to.

  • Please provide at least 48 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations and missed appointments may be charged in full. If something comes up, reach out as early as possible.

  • Often both. Some sessions are targeted and results-oriented; others focus on uncovering patterns, rebuilding trust, or practicing new ways of moving or relating to your body. The emphasis shifts as your needs change.

  • The initial consultation is designed for exactly that. You’ll get a clear sense of the approach, try the work, and decide whether it aligns with your goals.

Whether you’re seeking relief or a clearer direction, we can begin with a focused, comprehensive consultation.

What my clients say

SB

Working with Lance helped me simplify my health rather than add more to it. I felt clearer, more supported, and more confident in my body.

PE
